Social Service has been and will continue to be the first and foremost aim of the Karayogam and in this endeavour the differences of caste, creed, religion, language,etc. do not apply. Here in a nutshell are some of the services rendered by the Karayogam.

At the shortest notice the Karayogam is equipped to conduct marriage ceremonies in its auditoriums taking care of even the minutest details and as in any activity of the Karayogam our volunteers contribute their best to make the functions very successful. In addition to the marriage ceremonies, feasts and buffets/parties are also arranged as part of the marriages.

Needy and deserving students are given endowments, tuition fees, books, etc. without any discrimination on religion, caste etc.

“Chaithram” a counselling centre , to serve persons suffering from mental stress, examination fever, and suicide tendencies, is functioning at Ernakulam Karayogam , a group of trained Counselors, including Doctors, is available at the centre in the service of the needy on all days from 2.00p.m- 5.00 p.m. Ph:0484 2361161

This is yet another important service arranged by the volunteers. We ensure that all religious formalities are observed so that the last rites are conducted in conformity with custom. Ambulance & Mobile body freezer is also made available for the needy. This is a free service rendered by the Karayogam to their members & non members as well.

The Karayogam plays an important role in promoting art and culture, and its facilities are utilized by amateurs for their plays, dance performances, variety entertainments etc. The annual painting and allied art competitions organised by the Karayogam in connection with Navarathri celebrations have proved very popular among the children who participate in large numbers in these lively competitions.

Karayogam gives due importance to promote spiritual activities by regularly conducting talks of eminent personalities and also arranges yajnas on Gita, Mahabharatha, Bhagavatha observing Ramayana month Narayaneeyam day, Thunjan day , Upanishath Vichara Yajnam, Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam etc. Such programmes are attended by the members and the public in large numbers.

‘Prasanthi’ home for the aged at Palarivattom is yet another initiative of Ernakulam Karayogam in its efforts to continue with their social commitment and obligation. In addition to organizing and conducting social spiritual and religious activities, they are committed in providing homely stay at affordable rates for the age old at the fag end of their life.
